Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide quality clinical advice to patients via the 1800 IMSICK and All Hours Support Line (ASL) 24-hour telephone service.
  • •Perform clinical assessment and triage for eligible personnel, determining appropriate medical advice and next steps.
  • •Use contemporary clinical decision support tools and standard scripting approved by the Commonwealth and applicable Defence policies.
  • •Support delivery of the highest standard of care in a busy environment, applying professional standards and legislation.
  • •Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patients in clinical and mental health scenarios.

Key Requirements

  • •Current unconditional and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • •Minimum 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) post-graduate experience within the last 5 years.
  • •Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • •Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
  • •Demonstrated experience and competency with venepuncture and cannulation (with or without qualification).
