Job Summary

Ensure high-quality data for the VA Data Modernization initiative by defining data quality measures and analyzing source system data to design data-centric solutions. Participate in functional, regression, load, and system testing, then troubleshoot data access, workspace configuration, pipelines, cataloging, and permissions issues. Partner with Customer Success, Business Analysts, and Platform Engineering to improve intake and workspace deployment, and build migration guidance and self-service resources.

Key Responsibilities

•Define data quality measures to maintain appropriate data quality.
•Assess source system data and design data-centric solutions.
•Participate in functional, regression, load, and system testing.
•Troubleshoot user issues related to data access, workspace configuration, pipelines, cataloging, or permissions and escalate to engineering teams when needed.
•Support onboarding and white-glove customer success, and collaborate to refine intake processes, standardize workspace deployment, and provide migration guidance and self-service resources.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 195,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (or commensurate experience).
•12+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a similar role.
•Strong experience with Databricks and Azure data services, including workspace administration, catalog creation, linked services, storage mounts, and access configuration.
•Proficiency in data engineering fundamentals such as ETL/ELT pipeline development, data modeling, and managing structured and unstructured datasets.
•Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for diagnosing platform, data access, and pipeline issues, with cross-team collaboration for resolution.
