Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a high impact strategic advisor to corporate and institutional clients, helping them grow their digital businesses through innovative payment solutions, collaborating with Treasury, Strategy and technology teams.
  • •Collaborate with frontline (Sales and Coverage) teams to support pre-sales engagements by enabling strategic client conversations and positioning HSBC solutions early in the client journey.
  • •Build scalable TSG capabilities by developing data-driven benchmarking and diagnostic tools, treasury review frameworks, gap assessments, and best-practice artefacts informed by client work.
  • •Lead globally consistent training and thought leadership programs on treasury, payments, and emerging technology for external audiences across organizational levels.
  • •Represent GPS and HSBC in external public forums, media and events on treasury and payments topics.

Key Requirements

  • •Established payments expert with at least 12 years of industry experience in a high-growth fintech, PSP, or e-commerce marketplace.
  • •Deep understanding of the full payments stack including card schemes, alternative payment methods, real-time payments, and FX/cross-border mechanics, and regulatory landscapes in Asia affecting MSBs and TPPPs.
  • •Practical experience applying data-driven methodologies to design, deploy and measure performance of end-to-end payment ecosystems.
  • •Excellent written and spoken communication skills to articulate complex topics to stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • •Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build networks across business areas and develop trust-based client relationships.
