Key Responsibilities

•Design and build core healthcare integration primitives enabling Sierra agents to safely connect with EHRs and systems of record.
•Own production integrations with healthcare systems (e.g., Epic, athenahealth, Oracle Health, eClinicalWorks, MEDITECH), including FHIR, HL7, APIs, and flat files.
•Build reusable platform capabilities for healthcare data access, write-back workflows, authentication, authorization, auditability, observability, testing, and deployment.
•Partner with Agent Engineers to design and ship healthcare workflows such as appointment scheduling, patient intake, care navigation, CRM updates, and clinical task routing.
•Serve as a technical SME for customers’ EHR, IT, security, and operations teams and translate interoperability requirements into durable Sierra platform capabilities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 180,000 - 390,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, operating at or above the Senior Software Engineer level.
•Deep experience shipping production healthcare integrations under HIPAA, security, privacy, and compliance constraints.
•Fluency with healthcare interoperability standards and patterns including FHIR, HL7, OAuth/SMART-style authorization, patient identity, data mapping, and audit logs.
•Experience building integrations with major EHRs or healthcare platforms such as Epic, athenahealth, Oracle Health, eClinicalWorks, or MEDITECH.
•Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent professional experience.
