Lead and shape the device software platform for Stripe Terminal, partnering with hardware and software teams to define a multi-year strategy, roadmaps, and measurable milestones that drive scalable, reliable in-person payments experiences across devices and partnerships.

Job Function: Product Management

Key Responsibilities

•Set a motivating multi-year vision for device software in partnership with the Hardware team and translate it into measurable milestones for the Terminal OS Platform Team and Firmware team, including roadmaps and OKRs.
•Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to understand device technology and build on it to support growth and world-class user experience (e.g., boot up, firmware updates, security, performance, connectivity).
•Research and document Terminal customers’ needs to enable excellent in-person payments experiences and differentiate our product.
•Analyze competitive landscape and translate insights into differentiating features for the product suite.
•Coordinate with Partnerships to develop a roadmap for third-party hardware partnerships and articulate business value across Terminal leadership.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•8+ years of product management experience or equivalent.
•Proven track record of building and sustaining scalable technology products with excellent execution.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate and drive productive debate.
•Proven stakeholder management including executive communications, escalations, and advocating for ongoing investment in the product.
•Experience with developer-facing products (APIs/SDKs) and hardware or hardware-related product experience is a plus; technically adept with systems thinking.
