Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform receiving, in-process, and final dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace component parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality procedures.
  • •Operate CMM equipment to execute dimensional inspection in accordance with drawings, models, and internal procedures.
  • •Create, load, verify, and execute approved CMM inspection programs using applicable CMM software.
  • •Interpret complex engineering drawings/3D models and GD&T requirements to determine measurement methods and strategies.
  • •Document inspection results and nonconforming conditions in inspection reports, FAIRs, quality records, and applicable company systems, including verification of calibration status and probe qualification before use.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •One year minimum experience in quality inspection.
  • •Minimum two years of hands-on experience operating CMM equipment in a precision manufacturing, aerospace, or similarly regulated environment.
  • •Minimum three years of experience in first article inspection reports per AS9102.
  • •Must reside within 50 miles of the Irvine, CA facility (zip code 92618) and have access to export-controlled information as a U.S. person.
