Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive trucks to pick up chicks safely and economically, ensuring chicks are not chilled or overheated.
  • •Load and unload trucks according to division guidelines and supervise placing of chicks in barn.
  • •Group chicks by breed, breeder flock, and breeder flock age to achieve uniformity.
  • •Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections according to division guidelines and DOT requirements, and maintain accurate chick delivery records.
  • •Occasionally load and transport eggs from breeder facilities to the hatchery and perform other related hatchery work as assigned.

Key Requirements
