Job Summary

Drive controllership and technical accounting compliance across West Africa, ensuring accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Own general accounting and policy application across key finance cycles (inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany), interpret enterprise standards and process maps, and strengthen internal controls. Lead controllership initiatives and regional metrics, advise functional leaders, and help implement new accounting standards while ensuring compliance with local statutory and US GAAP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, and process simplification for accurate financial reporting and analysis.
•Own general accounting and policy/process administration across cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, and intercompany activities across West Africa.
•Interpret enterprise standards, SOPs, and process maps to deliver accounting services and advise functional managers on approaches and procedures.
•Lead controllership initiatives across the region, including accountability for controllership metrics, and ensure controllership and compliance of finance documentation.
•Strengthen internal controls and collaborate with corporate functions and the finance team to implement new accounting standards and address internal control/SOX deficiencies.

•Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or Business.
•7 years of finance experience, including 3 years in a lead or supervisory position.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
•Experience leading or working with teams to deliver projects and initiatives.
