Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct archaeological field assessments, surveys, monitoring, and excavation programs supporting infrastructure, energy, transportation, and community development.
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate archaeological and cultural heritage considerations into planning and delivery.
  • •Support compliance with provincial and federal heritage legislation, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Engage with Indigenous Nations, clients, regulators, and stakeholders across project lifecycles.
  • •Prepare technical reports, site records, permit applications, and archaeological impact assessment documentation; support field planning, logistics, and HSE/quality management; mentor junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline (Master’s considered an asset).
  • •Demonstrated professional archaeological consulting experience in British Columbia at an intermediate level.
  • •Working knowledge of the British Columbia Heritage Conservation Act and associated permitting processes.
  • •Experience leading or supporting archaeological field programs (survey, testing, mitigation, and monitoring).
  • •Strong technical writing skills for archaeological reports and regulatory documentation.
