Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage an assigned caseload of personal property claims with moderate complexity, including investigating damages and identifying discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Confirm and analyze coverage, recognize liability exposure, and determine coverage concerns by analyzing investigation information and policy terms.
  • •Negotiate and settle moderate complexity claims in compliance with state regulatory requirements, including recommendations for settlement amounts outside authority limits.
  • •Maintain accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
  • •Use estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools to prepare claims estimates, and support catastrophe (CAT) operations as needed (including possible on-call and travel).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •2+ years relevant property adjusting and/or claims adjusting experience handling moderately complex claims or construction-related industry/insurance experience.
  • •Working knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar estimating tools/platforms.
  • •Working knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days (within 3 attempts).
