Job Summary

Support onsite production operations at the Fairfield facility by developing and maintaining manufacturing operations, standard work, and technical documentation. Lead manufacturing plans, tooling strategies, and fixture/tool design, including tool life management. Perform variation, capability, manufacturability, and process validation analyses, applying GD&T, tolerance analysis, and NDT methods. Drive improvements using lean and smart factory initiatives and resolve technical and quality issues through root-cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, implement, validate, and maintain manufacturing operations, standard work, work instructions, and technical documentation for compliant and efficient production.
•Lead manufacturing plans, tooling strategies, and production methodologies, including fixture/tool design and tool life management.
•Design, develop, test, and implement assembly fixtures, tooling, and production support equipment.
•Perform variation, capability, and manufacturability analyses and conduct process validation to confirm quality and production readiness.
•Investigate and resolve technical, operational, and quality issues using root-cause analysis and corrective actions, partnering with Production, Quality, Design, EH&S, and value streams.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or similar is preferred) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
•Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment.
•Experience with SolidWorks (3D modeling software).
•Experience with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
•Ability to obtain and maintain ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) access.
