Job Summary

Design and develop life-saving medical devices in a regulated environment, owning mechanical engineering from definition through debug, test, and post-production support. Create injection-molded components, electro-mechanical assemblies, and body-worn enclosures, using 3D CAD and CAE simulation (FEA/CFD/mold flow). Produce ASME drawings, manage engineering change orders, support design reviews and failure investigations, and collaborate across teams including Human Factors and Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

•Own mechanical design and development of life-saving medical devices, including implementation, debug, test, and post-production support in a regulated environment.
•Design injection-molded plastic parts and electro-mechanical assemblies, including tolerance analysis and electro-mechanical mechanisms.
•Create and process engineering documentation, including 2D drawings per ASME Y14.5 and Engineering Change Orders.
•Use CAE tools (FEA/CFD/mold flow) and support design reviews with thorough scrutiny; conduct technical feasibility studies for future products.
•Lead sustaining engineering activities such as product failure investigations, root cause analysis, and DOE processes, and support SQE/Medical Process Validation.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 70,000 - 85,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
•3-5 years of related industry experience with progressively increasing responsibility and successful project completion.
•Experience using 3D CAD for mechanical design and development.
•Knowledge of engineering simulation and analysis approaches used to validate designs.
•Medical device or regulated industry experience is preferred.
