Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the development, calibration, and verification of wastewater network models (e.g., InfoWorks ICM or similar platforms).
  • •Provide technical oversight and quality assurance across multiple projects while guiding wider project teams.
  • •Undertake and oversee hydrology and groundwater investigation tasks required to inform wastewater modelling studies.
  • •Analyse complex datasets and modelling outputs, preparing clear technical reports and client deliverables.
  • •Act as technical lead on major frameworks and modelling programmes, supporting strategic planning, storm overflow reduction, and network resilience initiatives; mentor junior team members and contribute to bids/business development activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or a related discipline (BEng/MEng or MSc).
  • •Extensive experience in wastewater network modelling in a consultancy or water utility environment.
  • •Strong proficiency with industry-standard wastewater modelling software (e.g., InfoWorks ICM).
  • •Strong understanding of UK water industry regulations, AMP cycles, and wastewater planning frameworks.
  • •Proven ability to lead projects and provide technical direction; Chartered status (CEng) or working towards chartership is desirable.
