Job Summary

Design and support the detailed electrical engineering of low to extra-high voltage substations for the Power Delivery Billings Substation Team. Produce deliverables such as one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, station layouts, cable/conduit plans, ground grid, and related documentation. Assist with QA/QC, adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and client standards, and collaborate within the department to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform the detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations, including diagrams, schematics, wiring, SCADA/communications, station layouts, and related plans.
•Create design deliverables such as cable and conduit plans, grounding and foundation details, structural plans, control enclosure details, lightning protection, yard lighting, and bills of materials.
•Support QA/QC for deliverables provided to clients.
•Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
•Learn and follow client standards and processes while working individually or within a team to complete complex designs.

Key Requirements

•BBSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) degree from an accredited university, preferably with a power option.
•0-1 years of experience.
•Strong knowledge of electrical engineering to build on.
•Strong written and oral English communication skills to work with internal and external personnel.
•Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without work sponsorship.
