Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement department policies and practices aligned to the School’s vision and standards of achievement.
  • •Establish, monitor, and evaluate short-, medium-, and long-term departmental development plans.
  • •Use school data to identify underachieving students and create and implement action plans to support them.
  • •Ensure schemes of work are developed, reviewed, and evaluated for all year groups and courses, including provision for SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL students.
  • •Performance manage the team and effectively deploy staff/resources while maintaining control of department Resource and CapEx budgets.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
  • •Secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
  • •Minimum of 3-year teaching experience.

  • •Demonstrate leadership skills/experience and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
