Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for development of aerospace nacelle electric actuation systems, supporting concept development through design, verification, certification, industrialisation, and in-service support. Serve as the project technical focal point and engineering expert across work packages, driving innovation and maturation of robust product designs. Contribute to trade studies, design reviews, technical documentation, and root-cause investigations, while supporting junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Onsite in Wolverhampton with <20% international travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership to a multifunctional product development team for aerospace electric actuation applications.
•Serve as the technical focal point across the full product lifecycle, from concept and architecture through design, verification, certification, industrialisation, and in-service support.
•Provide technical input and engineering expertise across assigned work packages, including requirements-to-qualification-to-production support.
•Contribute to system trade studies, technical assessments, design reviews, and technical discussions with internal stakeholders.
•Support technical investigations and root cause analysis, capture lessons learned, and share knowledge to develop junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification (Mechanical or related discipline preferred).
•Experience in aerospace or electro-mechanical system design and development.
•Understanding of aerospace actuation systems or similar complex mechanical systems.
•Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
•Experience supporting technical investigations and engineering issue resolution, including clear technical documentation and communication.
