Job Summary

Use analytics and strategic sourcing expertise to help develop and manage procurement for automotive sublet and supplies. Join the strategic sourcing team to analyze purchasing data, build tools like recommendation engines, and develop dashboards to identify savings opportunities. Partner with category owners on KPI monitoring and supplier direction, run tests and deep-dive analyses to evaluate trends, and present decision recommendations to CarMax leadership. Onsite 4 days/week in Richmond.

•Provide analytical expertise for automotive sublet and supplies to develop and implement parts procurement tools.
•Identify data and automate purchasing rules for a parts purchasing recommendation engine.
•Lead dashboard and reporting development to monitor parts purchases and find savings opportunities.
•Partner with category owners to track KPIs and set strategic direction for suppliers.
•Design analyses and tests to evaluate purchasing trends, measure savings, and present recommendations to leadership.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of business experience in consulting, strategy analytics, web analytics, financial analysis, or engineering.
•3+ years procurement and supply chain analytics experience preferred.
•Undergraduate degree in a business or quantitative field (graduate degree a plus).
•Proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; SQL/database proficiency required.
•Experience developing analytics outputs such as dashboards/reports and using findings to make recommendations.
