Job Summary

Lead regional Revenue & Value Added Services (VASS) controllership across AP, EEMEA, Europe, LAC, and NAM. Partner with division finance, FP&A, product teams, and Corporate Controllership to govern accounting policy and controls, drive standardization of revenue recognition approaches, and mitigate financial integrity and audit risks. Own key VASS controllership inquiries, ensure SOX compliance, and manage month-end close revenue accuracy while producing quarterly reporting packs.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the senior controllership partner to division finance, regional VASS business leaders, FP&A, and product teams.
•Provide expert guidance on complex accounting matters including revenue recognition, bundles/funds/go-to-market program structures, and gross vs. net assessments.
•Design, implement, and monitor robust front and back-end controls for VASS activities, ensuring compliance with Mastercard accounting policies and SOX requirements.
•Act as the primary regional owner for VASS controllership inquiries, resolving issues locally and driving standardization across markets.
•Manage a team to review revenue accuracy during month-end close and produce quarterly VASS reporting packs to Corporate Controllership.

Key Requirements

•CPA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
•Minimum 12 years of progressive controllership/accounting leadership experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
•Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP with an emphasis on complex revenue recognition and product-driven business models.
•Extensive experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or audit (public accounting and/or large multinational environment).
•Proven ability to handle complex, ambiguous accounting issues and influence senior stakeholders with strong communication and presentation skills.
