Key Responsibilities

  • •Report to the Site HSSE Manager.
  • •Oversee project construction safety, security, health, and environment during construction and commissioning phases.
  • •Extract and apply relevant HSSE policies and procedures for site construction works.
  • •Meet local regulatory qualification requirements to act as the project HSSE representative.
  • •Establish and manage an HSSE system per legal and other requirements (ISO, Wood, Client) and ensure contractors comply with HSSE policy, site regulations, and permit to work procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in public health (Occupational Health and Safety) or certification as a Professional Safety Officer by the Ministry of Labour.
  • •Minimum of 8 years of substantial HSSE experience in live plant, greenfield, and turnaround/revamp work for oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, power plant, or similar plants.
  • •Extensive experience applying worksite HSSE plans, procedures, and standards requirements for site work.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of project monthly and weekly construction report content and HSSE leading/lagging indicators.
  • •Strong HSSE knowledge to prepare/review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Job Safety Analysis, and permit to work systems.
