Key Responsibilities

  • •Enforce regulations and procedures to prevent security breaches and respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
  • •Ensure the safety and security of individuals placed in custodial detention.
  • •Escort detainees during medical treatment, courtrooms, detention facilities, and other assigned guard services.
  • •Conduct searches of holding cells and/or detainees, and perform searches of vehicles and persons as directed.
  • •Maintain security of assigned areas/posts, secure personnel and property until properly relieved, and report violations and unusual events.

Key Requirements

  • •Be at least 21 years of age and a US citizen who has resided in the US for the last five years.
  • •Have a current State of Arizona Armed Guard license and a valid driver’s license.
  • •Have at least a high school diploma or GED; 1 year of law enforcement/armed security/detention/corrections/military experience is preferred.
  • •Be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and read/speak/write/understand English for detailed reports and forms.
  • •Pass required training/certifications, pre-employment physical, background investigation (criminal/credit/driving record), and US government background investigation for a government clearance.
