Job Summary

Design and develop analog mixed-signal ASICs for optoelectronic transceivers and complex sensor front ends. Own the full schematic and layout of ASICs and support the complete product lifecycle from specification through characterization, validation, test development, and customer communication. Collaborate with analog and digital teams, implement design-for-test interfaces, and help accelerate complex mixed-signal simulation and reliability with new tools or processes.
Location: Vienna
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Software Engineering
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with analog and digital designers to develop new integrated mixed-signal ASICs and functional blocks for high-performance OEICs, communication, and sensor front ends.
  • •Develop analog and mixed-signal blocks, structure them into functional groupings, and combine them into a mixed-signal design hierarchy.
  • •Own the complete ASIC schematic and layout, driving the full product lifecycle and project management from specification through characterization, validation, and test development.
  • •Specify and implement dedicated IC blocks and digital/analog interfaces to enable wafer- or module-level testing (design for test).
  • •Potentially establish new simulation tools or processes to speed up design/simulation of complex mixed-signal ICs and improve ASIC reliability.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics and Photonics, Telecommunications, or Embedded Systems, with several years of demonstrated experience.
  • •Profound expertise in analog circuit design across schematic and layout levels, including analog/mixed-signal ASIC simulation and verification throughout the full development cycle.
  • •Expertise in the complete analog mixed-signal ASIC design cycle: architecture/specification, schematic/simulation/modeling, layout design/verification (DRC, LVS), integration, parasitic extraction, and performance verification.
  • •Knowledge of advanced simulation techniques and implementation during design and development.
  • •Expertise in optical detectors, especially integrated optical detectors.
