Key Responsibilities

  • •Define system architecture, requirements, interfaces, performance budgets, and verification strategies for precision patterning semiconductor equipment.
  • •Design and integrate precision motion systems, substrate handling modules, tooling/fixtures, and gas delivery systems.
  • •Perform thermal/structural/flow/tolerance stack-up and FEA-based analyses to validate designs and define verification/acceptance/qualification plans.
  • •Lead characterization, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for system-level issues while establishing key performance metrics (accuracy, repeatability, overlay, uniformity, throughput, uptime).
  • •Partner across Process, Controls, Electrical, Automation, Manufacturing, Quality, and Service teams; lead technical reviews and mentor engineers; collaborate with suppliers on critical components.

Key Requirements

  • •8–12+ years of experience developing semiconductor or precision capital equipment.
  • •Strong expertise in heat transfer/thermal management, structural mechanics, precision assemblies, and gas flow/pneumatic systems.
  • •Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, ASME standards, FMEA/FMECA, and DFX methodologies.
  • •Working knowledge of structural, thermal, modal, vibration, and flow analysis, with ability to correlate simulation to experimental data.
  • •Advanced proficiency with UG NX and Teamcenter.
  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
