Job Summary

Seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to support generation projects in power delivery and generation, with responsibilities spanning design, drafting, budgeting, and client liaison. Based in Oradell, NJ with Atlanta, GA also considered. You will assist in research, concept development, design, and construction of substations, protection and control systems, and power plant drawings, mentoring staff and contributing to business development.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce, coordinate, review and/or approve electrical design plans for complex power plant projects.
•Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques to support all project phases, from preliminary design to commissioning support and record drawings.
•Support generation project scoping, budgeting, and proposals.
•Support/oversee the development of power plant electrical drawings (One lines, Breaker Control Schematics, Bus Duct Layouts, Equipment Elevations, Cable Schedules, etc.) and equipment specifications.
•Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 86,100 - 150,590 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience as a power engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power generation.
•Professional Engineer license required (multiple states preferred).
•Highly proficient with power engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
•Experience with infrastructure design involving Combined Cycle and Simple Cycle Gas Turbines or Heat Recovery Steam Generators.
