Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage day-to-day activities of local/regional project management teams to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with WSP standards and culture.
  • •Provide leadership and oversight for substation and/or transmission line project development, execution, control, and monitoring across the Northeast region.
  • •Ensure responsibilities are adhered to across the project lifecycle (proposal, planning/startup, execution, reporting, and closeout) including audits and compliance.
  • •Provide PM subject matter expertise, including earned value management and adherence to internal project management standards (and mentoring project management staff).
  • •Oversee recruiting recommendations, employee reviews for direct reports, risk/technical reviews, and lead project kick-off and stakeholder engagement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field in the Power & Energy Market (or equivalent experience), and candidates with PMP certification will be considered.
  • •15+ years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role within the Power Delivery/Utility industry.
  • •Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering and/or construction teams for medium/high/extra-high voltage power delivery projects.
  • •Knowledge of project management processes and tools including Contract Management, Earned Value Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Schedule Management (e.g., CPM with Primavera P6), and Financial Management.
  • •Advanced experience with project delivery processes and strong analytical, organizational, communication, and technical writing skills, plus demonstrated adherence to QA/QC and workplace safety policies.
