Key Responsibilities

•Support the planning, design, and deployment of ITS infrastructure including traffic management systems, fiber optic communications, CCTV, dynamic message signs, and connected vehicle technologies.
•Apply the systems engineering process to ITS and emerging technology projects from concept through implementation.
•Prepare design plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical memoranda, and reports.
•Perform ITS design tasks including device layout, communications network design, and integration of hardware and software systems.
•Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and software engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 95,000 - 120,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•6+ years of ITS engineering experience with emphasis on design and implementation of transportation technology systems
•Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
•Experience supporting state or local transportation agencies such as INDOT or municipal clients
•Familiarity with ITS communications systems, network architecture, and field device integration
