Key Responsibilities

  • •Authorize and review utilization of mental health and substance abuse services in inpatient and/or outpatient care settings.
  • •Collect and analyze utilization data to support care decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Current licensure required, including one or more of: CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LSW, LPC, or RN.
  • •Minimum 2 years of post-degree experience in healthcare within behavioral health, psychiatric, and/or substance abuse settings.
  • •Knowledge of utilization management procedures and mental health/substance abuse community resources and providers.
  • •Knowledge and experience with inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
  • •Knowledge of DSM V (or most current diagnostic edition) and ability to analyze utilization problems to plan and implement solutions that improve quality of care.
