Job Summary

Support ongoing tester operations for Plant 4 in Grand Rapids by leading tester design projects and supervising product validation testing. Work with plant, system, software, IT, and internal engineering teams to troubleshoot tester and product issues, drive root-cause analysis for quality and reliability, and implement improvements to testing processes. Handle chiller and generator testing setups, data acquisition troubleshooting, and coordinate schematic/test-sequence changes as needed, including some support beyond normal hours.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as first point of contact for test-related issues with the production team and resolve customer witness tester issues.
•Develop and lead tester design projects; supervise product validation testing and support test engineers for product changes.
•Coordinate with system, software, IT, and plant teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve tester and product issues.
•Assist with chiller movement to the test facility and perform electro-mechanical setup and data acquisition troubleshooting for chiller systems.
•Drive root-cause analysis for quality and reliability issues and recommend and implement improvements to tester processes; provide support beyond normal working hours as required.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in HVAC or Electrical (or 2-year equivalent) preferred, and experience may substitute for degree.
•Strong interest in HVAC applications and refrigeration equipment operating conditions.
•Strong interest in manufacturing plant systems and processes that support testing capabilities.
•Competency in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
•Competency in test systems and SCADA applications; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
