Key Responsibilities

  • •Control material flow and depth during paving operations, including surface prep, grades, drainage, and paving patterns.
  • •Operate and set up paving machines and related equipment to achieve smooth, consistent asphalt placement and complete curbing, spreading, and finishing.
  • •Perform routine servicing, minor maintenance, and report major issues; inspect, clean, and maintain equipment using mechanic’s hand tools.
  • •Coordinate jobsite activities including truck dumping flow, shovel blacktop, and help control jobsite traffic.
  • •Set up and dismantle equipment, maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others, and perform assigned additional tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •Minimum 1 year of relevant equipment operation or construction experience; 3 years of road construction experience preferred.
  • •Must be 18 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license meeting state requirements (CDL Class A and/or B, with possible hazmat and tanker endorsements).
  • •Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
