Job Summary

Support and monitor Azure Cloud Data Engineering processes for batch, API, and streaming data loading and processing. Ensure data freshness and continuity across a large Microsoft Azure EDL used for reporting, business decisions, and revenue-generating operations. Work with a cross–North America and India service delivery team, performing incident/problem management and troubleshooting to resolve issues using defined SLAs and escalation procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor and respond to issues or failures in cloud data engineering processes for data processing and loading.
•Handle batch, API, and streaming data workflows, including data loading from on-prem sources to Azure services.
•Ensure data freshness and continuity across a large Microsoft Azure EDL supporting business reporting and operational processes.
•Perform proactive monitoring, analyze problems, and take corrective actions for incidents and problems.
•Follow service level guidelines and escalation procedures to achieve prompt resolutions, collaborating with IT teams and business representatives.

Key Requirements

•4-6 years of experience in cloud data engineering support or development teams, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
•Experience in Azure cloud environment as a Tier 1 support data engineer for break/fix recovery with large datasets and complex data environments.
•Incident and problem management using ServiceNow while meeting SLA expectations and following escalation procedures.
•Foundational skills in data warehouse star schema and ETL concepts, including SQL basics.
•Knowledge of streaming and batch support using Event Hubs, Databricks, Cosmos DB, Scala, Azure SQL DB, Azure App Insights, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and scheduled job tools (Databricks Workflows, IBM IWS, Control-M).
