Job Summary

Lead industrial design for next-generation WHOOP hardware, bands, accessories, and wearable ecosystems—from concept through production. Translate athlete and member insights into differentiated physical experiences, driving ergonomic studies, wearability testing, and fit analysis. Create and refine concepts with sketching, CAD, modeling, prototyping, and storytelling, while partnering across engineering, CMF, apparel, product, and manufacturing. Mentor designers and present strategy and craft decisions to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead industrial design across WHOOP hardware, bands, accessories, and wearable ecosystems from concept through production.
•Translate user, athlete, member, and market insights into design strategies and differentiated physical experiences.
•Develop concepts using sketching, 3D modeling, prototyping, visualization, and storytelling.
•Drive ergonomic studies, wearability testing, fit analysis, and human factors work to support performance across users and environments.
•Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, CMF, apparel, product, manufacturing) and external vendors to preserve design intent through tooling, validation, and production.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of industrial design experience, with significant work in consumer electronics, wearables, health technology, performance products, footwear, apparel, or technically complex consumer goods.
•A portfolio demonstrating strong concept development, design process, problem solving, prototyping, and production execution.
•Proven experience taking products from early concept through manufacturing and launch.
•Deep understanding of ergonomics, body-worn products, soft goods, hard goods, materials, CMF, manufacturing processes, and design for scale.
•Strong 2D and 3D design skills including sketching, CAD, rendering, visualization, and physical prototyping.
