Key Responsibilities

•Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems (compressors, evaporators, condensers, vessels, valves, and controls) and perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
•Independently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related refrigeration issues; monitor pressures/temperatures/oil levels and alarms and take corrective action.
•Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities in CMMS; support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Actively support ammonia refrigeration safety in compliance with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP, serving as a trained responder during ammonia incidents per the facility Emergency Response Plan.
•Support PSM/RMP compliance by performing mechanical integrity inspections, completing documentation/logs, and following MOC, LOTO, hot work, and confined space procedures.

Key Requirements

•3–5 years of industrial refrigeration experience, with experience specifically using ammonia refrigeration systems.
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical systems is preferred.
•EPA Section 608 Certification preferred or required; ammonia refrigeration training (IIAR or equivalent) required or ability to obtain.
•Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and operating manuals, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance documentation, plus solid understanding of PSM/RMP requirements and safe work practices.
