Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, organize, and conduct classroom and lab training for Fleet ACNT technicians on Baseline 9C supporting Aegis Weapon System maintenance and operations.
  • •Develop, test, maintain, and deliver training programs and related materials aligned to Surface Combat Systems Training Command ATRC training objectives.
  • •Teach approved course content and objectives; assess sailors’ abilities to follow approved procedures and provide performance appraisals and improvement recommendations.
  • •Review and analyze U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System engineering capabilities/limitations and operational/tactical doctrine to optimize training execution in dynamic environments.
  • •Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides; maintain training records and support regular course curriculum updates.

Key Requirements

  • •7 years of experience with the required Aegis Computer Network /Aegis Weapons System (ACNT), including responsibility for teaching system or function tasks in a journeyman level training environment.
  • •1 year of experience as an instructor in a Navy training environment, including curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials, and counseling students.
  • •Possess ACNT NECs V00C/V69A or V01C/V75A.
  • •Must be a current and proficient Baseline 9 Navy Aegis Computer Network Technician (ACNT) with the ability to teach approved course content.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
