Key Responsibilities

•Oversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff and assumes responsibility for the care they provide
•Leads ward rounds; reassesses inpatients and outpatients regularly in line with established best practice
•Ensures preparation of patients for all procedures including obtaining informed consent
•Participates in and ensures provision of out-of-hours (on-call) coverage as required
•Promotes and participates in clinical research and publication and fosters CME and continuous improvement in the department

Key Requirements

•Tier 1: at least 2 years of relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification
•Tier 2: at least 8 years of full-time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post board certification in internationally accredited institutes
•For UAE Nationals: Clinical Fellowship training may substitute for experience as described (each year of fellowship counted as two years of clinical experience)
