Job Summary

Operate and maintain the vessel’s DP (dynamic positioning) system in accordance with operational requirements. Monitor the DP control room on-duty scheme, ensure DP system data recording, and configure DP operating parameters. Assist with maintenance of DP equipment and perform frequent inspections of sensors, computers, and references, while implementing relevant IMCA DP requirements. Support training readiness of the JDPO and carry out required inspections.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate the DP system as per operational requirements.
•Maintain the continual on-duty scheme in the DP control room.
•Ensure all DP system data are recorded.
•Set up DP system operating parameters.
•Assist with maintenance and carry out frequent inspections of DP system sensors, computers, and references; implement IMCA DP requirements.

Key Requirements

•Minimum qualification: Class 1 master FG COC II/2 with no limitations.
•High School Diploma or equivalent nautical science degree/diploma.
•Full and unlimited DP certificates from a nautical institute.
•IMCA DP log book with recorded DP experience.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience as Sr.DPO / Chief officer on DP vessels in the same capacity.
