Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and mature Slack’s incident management program end-to-end, from detection and triage through response, resolution, and post-incident review.
  • •Drive the strategic transition of incident response operations across Customer Experience and Salesforce’s Command Incident Center (CIC), including process alignment, tooling integration, runbook handoff, and training.
  • •Establish and continuously improve incident severity frameworks, escalation paths, and communication protocols across Slack and Salesforce.
  • •Run reliability initiatives reviews and deliver programs for load management and compute services, including capacity planning and load-shedding strategy.
  • •Define reliability standards for agentic workloads and develop incident response playbooks for novel AI failure scenarios; track and report SLOs, error budgets, and incident trends to inform investments.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years leading technical programs in a product or engineering organization with progressive scope and complexity.
  • •Experience directly managing programs in SRE, reliability, or infrastructure, including incident management/severity frameworks and post-incident practices.
  • •Proficient in AWS Cloud offerings (or similar cloud services) and familiarity with enterprise-grade availability concepts (SLOs/error budgets).
  • •SQL experience extracting large datasets into executive-level dashboards and the ability to analyze and synthesize data into stories/slides.
  • •A related technical degree required; ability to work across time zones and communicate effectively with engineers to identify technical risks.
