Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage small to medium capital equipment projects and provide concept/layout/design details for automation and material handling processes.
  • •Troubleshoot and solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
  • •Design and execute planned process experiments; collect, analyze, and report experimental results and daily equipment/product performance data.
  • •Install and qualify new equipment and maintain MH Metrology, sensors, and cameras.
  • •Interface with production associates and manufacturing engineers, suppliers, and suppliers’ representatives; develop training and materials; identify and implement yield and product performance improvements.

Salary: USD 68,800 - 98,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in an engineering or similar technical discipline plus 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years of technical work experience in a Manufacturing setting.
  • •Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or Ph.D. in an engineering or similar technical discipline (no experience required; technical experience with a degree preferred).
  • •Ability to apply statistical data analysis and structured problem solving (fishbone, five why, DMAIC).
  • •Demonstrated proficiency troubleshooting mechanical/automation equipment and generating/managing FMEAs.
  • •Journeyman certification in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., machinist or electrician) with 5+ years at journeyman level, or 10+ years as a highly skilled technician/specialist in a relevant discipline (industry-recognized certification strongly preferred).
