Key Responsibilities

  • •Use Red Hat Satellite and Ansible to manage, design, and deploy Linux changes into the JORN network.
  • •Develop and implement engineering changes, including requirements analysis, design, reviews, implementation, testing, and signoff.
  • •Create and update engineering documentation such as designs, drawings, manuals, and related artefacts.
  • •Demonstrate technical proficiency and perform engineering activities within own competence with limited day-to-day guidance, including stakeholder liaison.
  • •Operate within project technical, cost, and schedule constraints and continuously improve practices by seeking and sharing good practice and knowledge.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive background with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and engineering practices, ideally within defence industry.
  • •Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and administering Linux operating systems and environments.
  • •Comprehensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible.
  • •Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and containerisation/Kubernetes is an advantage.
  • •Eligibility to obtain and maintain NV2 security clearance (and Australian citizenship required by the security statement).
