Key Responsibilities

  • •Design a sustainable data architecture and implement a scalable data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform to scale data operations.
  • •Migrate the on-premise PostgreSQL solution to a cloud-based BigQuery solution.
  • •Design, implement and optimize data pipelines for a variety of structured and unstructured data sources.
  • •Ensure data availability and quality by applying best practices in data modeling and data management.
  • •Develop automated DataOps solutions for data integrity and transparency, including monitoring and troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

  • •≥5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles.
  • •Deep knowledge of databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, OGC SQL/PostGIS, BigQuery) and scaling data platforms.
  • •Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
  • •Extensive Python development experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, Pandera or pytest.
  • •Hands-on Cloud platform experience and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – ideally Google Cloud Platform; familiarity with Airflow and dbt; DataKitchen for data quality/testing/observability; Git/GitHub/GitLab.
