Key Responsibilities

  • •Enable AMD x86-64 architecture features in Linux and develop core CPU/SoC functionality for the Linux kernel and related open-source projects.
  • •Drive work across the software development lifecycle with focus areas including virtualization, memory management, performance, and scalability.
  • •Implement low-level bring-up and support distro interactions for relevant kernel components.
  • •Engage with open-source development by building and submitting patches on a mailing list and working with external partners.
  • •Contribute to upstream Linux kernel development and Linux KVM/open-source VMM efforts, including debugging across kernel subsystems.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in software development.
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • •Advanced programming skills in C for operating system kernel & systems development.
  • •In-depth knowledge of kernels, virtualization, and security, including successful Linux KVM and open-source VMM contributions (e.g., QEMU).
  • •Understanding and experience with the Linux kernel and related upstream development workflow, including debugging across kernel subsystems and use of GNU toolchain and git.
