Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide RAM leadership and guidance to clients across rail infrastructure, rolling stock, and signalling projects.
  • •Deliver BS EN 50126 RAM activities including RAM plans, functional analysis, predictions/modelling, FMECAs, fault tree analysis/RBD, DRACAS, and maintainability analyses.
  • •Cross-collaborate with project teams to manage the minimisation of project risks and support positive integration/delivery.
  • •Project manage staff and directly manage subcontractors, supporting junior RAM members with mentorship and acting as the technical focal point.
  • •Support RAM and, when required, safety activities, and provide input to proposal writing and future tender submissions.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in a technical engineering related discipline, or extensive relevant experience.
  • •RAM engineering experience (rail desirable, but not essential).
  • •Corporate membership with an appropriate professional institution (e.g. SaRS, IET, IMechE).
  • •Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer (or significant progression towards that goal).
  • •Proven ability to provide technical leadership to a team of RAM and Safety Engineers.
