Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver consulting services for mine waste projects, including design and inspection of mine waste storage facilities, tailings deposits, stability and seepage analysis, and closure design.
  • •Provide specialized technical input across tailings management facilities, water impoundments, waste rock dump design, soil mechanics, soil improvement methods, geosynthetic materials engineering, and related civil engineering work.
  • •Lead and contribute to the design and assessment of mine waste facilities across concept, detailed design, operational, and closure phases.
  • •Assist project managers with successful delivery by managing own involvement across time, budget, and quality control.
  • •Lead, mentor, and supervise junior and intermediate staff; prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, collaboration, and delivery.
  • •Substantial experience in mine waste and tailings, including design and assessment of mine waste facilities.
  • •Degree qualified in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or engineering geology, with strong emphasis and ability in soil mechanics.
  • •Knowledge of national and international design guidelines and regulations for mine waste facilities.
  • •Chartered professional with a relevant body and willingness to travel in the UK and internationally as needed.
