Key Responsibilities

  • •Understand and/or generate a program statement of work (SOW) and defined customer component application requirements.
  • •Drive creation and management of obsolescence mitigation strategies, influencing design, materials/process, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program leadership teams.
  • •Develop and sustain a proactive obsolescence management process to deliver cost-saving mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • •Resolve obsolescence issues through lifetime buys, alternate part selections, redesign efforts, and mitigation strategies; support contract negotiations and proposal estimating activities.
  • •Brief program leadership with status, risks, and build limitations; conduct trade study analyses and provide reporting and presentations to communicate mitigation outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in STEM and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including component obsolescence management.
  • •Working knowledge of proactive and reactive component obsolescence management methodologies.
  • •Experience collecting/analyzing/presenting data to discuss system impact of component obsolescence issues.
  • •Experience developing and managing BOM (Bill of Material) for developmental and production programs using obsolescence management and engineering/subsystem design understanding.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
