Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and deliver high-quality Social Studies lessons aligned to the British Curriculum and Key Stage requirements.
  • •Develop students' knowledge and application of key Social Studies concepts within related humanities/social science disciplines.
  • •Use enquiry-based approaches to support questioning, investigation, analysis, evaluation, and evidence-based conclusions.
  • •Develop students' ability to interpret and evaluate primary/secondary sources, data, maps, statistics, media, and other evidence.
  • •Differentiate teaching and learning for all students, including high-attaining students, SEND and EAL learners; use digital technologies and resources to enhance learning.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Sociology, Political Science, Humanities.
  • •Recognised teaching qualification.
  • •Relevant experience teaching at secondary level within a British Curriculum or comparable international curriculum.
  • •Strong knowledge of Key Stage 3 curriculum requirements and relevant GCSE/IGCSE content where applicable.
