Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee accounting support for fixed income trading, fixed income underwriting, securities borrowing and lending, repo/reverse repo, defeasance transactions, and VRDN remarketing.
  • •Manage daily/monthly/quarterly accounting activities including trade/settlement date accounting, accruals, valuations support, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • •Ensure accurate accounting treatment for trading gains/losses, underwriting fees and revenue recognition, interest income/expense, borrowing and loan fees, and related mark-to-market adjustments where applicable.
  • •Support internal and external financial reporting and maintain balance sheet and P&L controls, including review of reconciliations, breaks, aged items, and exception reporting.
  • •Manage, coach, and develop accounting staff; drive process standardization, documentation, control improvements, and audit/regulatory inquiry readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred) or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • •Six or more years of accounting experience.
  • •Prior people management or demonstrated leadership experience.
  • •Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements in a regulated financial services environment.
  • •Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets and accounting/reporting systems.
