Key Responsibilities

  • •Test gemstones with Raman spectroscopy prior to product assortment and distribution to support the inbound pipeline.
  • •Perform high-volume QC and maintain daily metrics for gem identification, weight estimation QC, and performance tracking.
  • •Support and develop fine jewelry & watch specialists during ramp-up, including facilitating in-the-moment training.
  • •Collect and report data with the Pricing and Authentication Gemology Team and propose trainings to Production Management.
  • •Ensure lab tools are equipped, performing regular maintenance and calibration, and maintain TRR training materials and internal databases.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience using Raman spectroscopy.
  • •Baseline knowledge of gemstones and some minerals; degree in mineralogy or geology is a plus.
  • •Fluency in GIA grading standards for diamonds, colored stones and pearls.
  • •Diamond and colored stone weight estimation proficiency.
  • •Ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks and escalate issues as needed.
