Job Summary

Maintain and repair HVAC and related facilities systems, including air handlers, chilled water, condenser pumps, cooling towers, boilers, valves, and filters. Execute preventative maintenance for facility and launch-associated HVAC equipment, and collaborate with engineering and managers to keep systems operating at peak performance. Perform ductwork modifications, brazing/soldering, refrigerant evacuation and charging, plus water piping and insulation repairs. Follow OSHA/EPA/NIOSH/NFPA/ASME/NEC requirements and SpaceX procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment on facilities systems (air handlers, chilled water, condenser pumps, cooling towers, valves, filters, boilers, etc.).
•Complete preventative maintenance schedules for facility and launch-associated HVAC systems.
•Collaborate with engineering and managers to keep systems operating at peak condition.
•Follow regulations and SpaceX procedures, including quality and safety standards (OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, NFPA, ASME, NEC).
•Perform ductwork modifications and repairs, including brazing/soldering, refrigerant evacuation and charging, plus water piping and insulation modifications and repairs.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
•EPA 608 Universal certificate.
•1+ years of professional experience working with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.
•Ability to pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
•Ability to work the listed shifts and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting 50 lbs., working on ladders/lifts, cramped positions) while following safety requirements.
