Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in analysis, modification and design of reservoir description tools and their assembly and testing procedures for assigned projects, incorporating materials and component knowledge.
  • •Prepare design calculations and specifications; develop test procedures and analyze test results to guide project decisions.
  • •Assist in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services, applying reliability, HSE and quality techniques during the design process.
  • •Test software to recreate well environments in a lab setting and establish connectivity with various tools using Wireline cables.
  • •Collaborate with electronics engineering and sensor principles to design complex electro-mechanical reservoir description tools and ensure PCB functionality.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Tech Prof-Mfg-related occupation; or 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Tech Prof-Mfg-related occupation.
  • •Experience with analysis, modification and design of reservoir description tools for wireline logging operations for formation evaluation.
  • •Experience with soldering, wiring and mechanical assembly including precision soldering on PCB and wires.
  • •Experience interpreting, modifying and creating mechanical drawings and procedures that align with drawings.
  • •Experience conducting qualifying tests (pressure, temperature, mechanical/electronic functionality) and designing test set-ups for surface and high-temp/high-pressure testing.
