Job Summary

Maintain and repair pump, power, and HVAC equipment at a rental facility in Carlsbad, NM, using real-time work-order data to diagnose root causes and complete corrective actions quickly. Create and monitor service intervals, order parts, troubleshoot failures at the shop and customer sites, and assist with setup and operation of equipment. Document work daily, follow safe job practices, support equipment pickup/delivery, and participate in OEM training.

Key Responsibilities

•Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues by pulling data from multiple equipment models.
•Practice safe job practices while performing maintenance and repairs on customer and company-owned pump, power, and HVAC equipment.
•Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations, and complete corrective repairs.
•Travel to customer job sites when required to perform preventive maintenance and repairs for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
•Maintain daily paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed and assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts; help train lower-level technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

•Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
•Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
•Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading schematics.
•Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
•EPA 608 certification is preferred (or able to obtain it within 6–12 months of employment).
