Job Summary

Lead the APAC Merchant Risk Operations team for Payments, owning end-to-end operational performance across SLAs, quality, loss metrics, and customer impact. Oversee merchant monitoring, investigation, and escalation workflows, and partner with global legal, risk, and compliance to implement policy and control changes. Collaborate with Product and Engineering to evolve risk tooling (rules engines, case management, AI/LLM workflows, analytics) and champion automation and AI to improve accuracy and reviewer effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the APAC Merchant Risk Operations team for Payments.
•Own end-to-end operational performance for APAC merchant risk operations, including SLAs, quality, loss metrics, and customer impact.
•Oversee design and execution of merchant monitoring, investigation, and escalation workflows across APAC.
•Partner with global legal, risk, and compliance to implement new policies and control changes into operations.
•Work with Product and Engineering to evolve risk tooling (rules engines, case management, AI/LLM workflows, analytics) and champion automation and AI.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of experience in payments/fintech/acquiring, including 3+ years of people management experience.
•Deep expertise in Merchant Risk, including credit and fraud risk (reserves/exposure management) and/or brand risk (AUP and compliance management).
•Proven track record managing senior ICs in multi-location teams.
•Demonstrated ability to operate fast in ambiguity, set clear priorities, and drive outcomes in a high-growth environment.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
