Job Summary

Maintain and repair mechanical machinery and equipment in power generation plants to keep simple and combined-cycle operations running efficiently. Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance with minimal supervision, assist engineers when required, and select the right tools and procedures to work safely. Monitor repeated breakdowns to prevent reoccurrence, carry out maintenance to EHS and plant requirements, and direct contract workforce during maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and systems in a power plant to ensure efficient operation.
•Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance repairs, including on-call duties as required, restoring systems quickly.
•Assist technician engineers or independently execute allocated jobs using relevant methods, procedures, and tools safely and effectively.
•Carry out maintenance in adherence with EHS standards and plant operating requirements to minimize workplace accidents/inquiries.
•Monitor repeated breakdowns and implement resolutions to avoid recurrence; direct contract workforce for maintenance activities.

Key Requirements

•Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Craft/Trade certificate (or equivalent).
•5 years’ experience in a similar position in a thermal power plant (Diploma holders).
•8 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance (Craft/Trade certificate holders).
•Hands-on experience with GE Frame 9E/9FA gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, thermal desalination, and BOP equipment overhauls.
•Ability to work in a safe manner using mechanical maintenance tools and procedures, including EHS compliance.
